Come with us as we enter the DPRK to join in on the massive celebrations for Liberation day! This holiday marks the end of the Japanese occupation of Korea and considered one of the biggest national holidays. During this tour we will be taking part in all the official celebrations, as well as hanging out and dancing and singing with locals in the park, watching the fireworks and participating in the Mass Dance!
We'll also explore the mystifying Pyongyang Metro, the Mausoleum where Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lay in state, visit the DPRK War Museum to read their point of view of the Korean war, visit the Grand Bronze Statues, spend a day down at the DMZ and much more!
We've combined this unique DPRK holiday with a very exciting trup up to Mt Paektu in the far north east of Korea! We'll be chartering our very own plane to reach a path well off the beaten track! Whilst we're exploring the north east region we'll stop by Secret Base Camp where Kim Jong Il was born, early revolutionary camp sites where the Koreans began to stage their attack against the Japanese and to stay overnight in the quiet, gorgeous town of Samjiyon. This is one of the biggest holidays of the year and with our very own flight up to Mt. Paektu it's an adventure not to be missed!

During this tour we'll be hitting up all the must see sights of Pyongyang including the Mausoleum of President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il, ride the deep Pyongyang Metro, visit the War Museum to hear the North's story and no trip to the DPRK is complete without visiting the DMZ! ..plus lots more to do! Our longer tour will take us up to Mt Myohyang where we'll visit the famous International Friendship Exhibition where gifts from all around the world were presented to the past and current leaders of the DPRK. This exhibition is buried deep into the mountain and one that is not to be missed!
